AM106 This is a pretty dark Amber bead necklace. The Amber beads have an oval free form shape but are completely polished. The Amber beads measure approximately 10mmin size near the twist close clasp and gradually get larger up to approximately 15mm in the front of the necklace. The necklace measures approximately 12″ in length. Very, very nice and light weight.
Amber is the common name for the fossil resin or tree sap that is appreciated for its inherent and interesting mixture of color. It is widely used for the manufacture of ornamental objects including jewelry. Although it is not mineralized, it is sometimes considered and used as a gemstone. Most of the world’s Amber is in the range of 30-90 million years old.
