This is a very pretty sterling Silver pendant and earring set with a 9mm x 7mm faceted Amethyst cabochon and 7mm x 5mm matching earrings. This pendant measures 5/8″ from the top to the bottom. The bail measures 1/4″ in size and comes with a chain. The earrings are 7mm x 6mm and measure 7/8″ long with a hook wire for pierced ears. These are a dangle type earrings. A very very nice set.

Amethyst is a purple variety of Quartz often used as an ornament. It occurs in color from a light, slightly pinkish violet to a deep grape purple. Upon exposure to heat, Amethyst generally becomes yellow, which some refer to as Citrine or “burnt” Amethyst. It is widely distributed as a mineral, but fine, clear specimens that are suitable for cutting as ornamental stones.
