This is a great specimen of a tumbled and polished rare Charoite stone from Russia. It measures 1 7/8″ x 1 1/4″ x 5/8″ thick and has a nice polish. It has a pretty combination of swirling various purple colors all in an amazing design. Very nice, palm size stone. It is a great size for a small paper weight or fidget stone. Just pretty to look at and it would make a great gift.

Charoite is newly found mineral, first discovered in the 1940s and described to the world in 1978. It is found only in Siberia, Russia and is a translucent lavender to purple color. Charoite has a swirling, fibrous appearance and is strictly massive in nature. It is used as an ornamental stone and sometimes as a gemstone.
