This is a very beautiful larger gemstone Heart carved from Rose Quartz. The pretty heart has excellent inclusions, great color and subtle “rainbow” reflections that add tons of character. It measures 5 1/4″ wide x 4 3/8″ tall x 2 3/8″ thick and has a nice polish. There are some areas that are not smooth, these are small natural cavities. Something very nice and different for that special person or to add to the collection.

Rose Quartz is a type of Quartz which exhibits a pale pink to rose red hue. The color is usually considered as due to trace amounts of Titanium, Iron or Manganese, in the massive material. Some Rose Quartz contains microscopic Rutile needles which produce an asterism in transmitted light.
