Here is a nice large Moroccan Geode. This beautiful geode has been cracked open to show the various different sparkly crystal shapes inside and has not been polished. The inside is filled with very rare sugary white Druzy Quartz and loaded with Dog Tooth Calcite Crystals with a deep “cavern” to bring out the wonderful character of this specimen. The pretty geode measures approximately 9 5/8″ x 7 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ and weighs nearly 10 1/2 lbs. Very cool.

Geodes are geological rock formations which occur in sedimentary and certain volcanic rocks. They are essentially rock cavities or vugs with internal Crystal formations or concentric banding. The exterior is generally Limestone while the interior contains Quartz Crystals and/or Chalcedony deposits. If the Geode is completely filled with Crystal, being solid all the way through, it is then called a nodule.
