Description
Amazonite is a green variety of Feldspar. The name is taken from that of the Amazon River, from which certain green stones were formerly obtained, but it is doubtful whether green Feldspar occurs in the Amazon area.

Here is an old favorite that is now back at the Rock Shed in the crushed rock division. This is some Amazonite from India. This rock measures from 3/4″ to 1 1/2+” and has a lovely light Turquoise color. This rock is a Feldspar cousin and may have some Grey Quartz and Black Tourmaline inclusions mixed in with the base rock. Tumbled or dry, this rock will make any garden sparkle in the sun light.
