Powellite is a calcium molybdate mineral with formula CaMoO₄. Powellite crystallizes with tetragonal – dipyramidal crystal structure as transparent adamantine blue, greenish-brown, yellow-to-grey typically anhedral forms. It exhibits distinct cleavage and has a brittle-to-conchoidal fracture.
