A Note about this machine and our lapidary shop – This is the machine we use to polish geodes, petrified wood specimens, and other flat cut rock specimens off of our saws. We use a vibrating lap to remove the saw marks from the saw. Then all we have to do is a quick dry sand step on the bull wheel to bring up a nice smooth sanded gloss. We then polish them on carpet on our vibrating lap. A quick process that works great for us with a minimal amount of hand work.
