AGB203 Here’s an exceptional Mozambique Agate Geode slab with fabulous color and design. This lovely slab has been created right here in our very own Lapidary Department and has great color and fantastic Agate banding. It is actually a bit darker than appears in the photo. This slab measures 7 3/4″ wide x 10 1/2″ tall x 3″ thick, weighs over 7 1/2 pounds with a nicely polished face. A true beauty that would dress up any home!

Agates mostly occur as nodules in volcanic rocks or waters containing silica in solution possibly derived from the decomposition of silicates in the lava. The siliceous matter is deposited in regular layers resulting in the banded or striped formation.
