Here’s another beauty, a gorgeous Brazilian Agate Geode with nice color and design. This lovely slab has a gorgeous crystal center surrounded by fantastic Agate banding. It measures 9 3/8″ wide x 5 7/8″ tall x 3/4″ thick with a nicely polished front face. A really nice piece!

Agates mostly occur as nodules in volcanic rocks or waters containing silica in solution possibly derived from the decomposition of silicates in the lava. The siliceous matter is deposited in regular layers resulting in the banded or striped formation.
