Orthoceras was a marine cephalopod, this particular species was straight shelled and they thrived some 400+ million years ago in the Paleozoic era.
This is a very interesting find! This is an Orthoceras Polished Stone fossil from Morocco. It measures 5 5/8″ long x 1 7/8″ wide x 5/8″ thick. It has a good polish which shows well preserved Orthoceres fossils. Something different and very cool.
