This is an exceptional Chevron Amethyst sphere. It measures 5″ in diameter, weighs nearly 7 pounds and has a nice polish. It has a very pretty deep purple color, great clarity, fantastic inclusions, subtle “rainbow” reflections and a unique Chevron pattern. Chevron Amethyst, sometimes called Banded Amethyst is a combination of Amethyst, Smokey and White Quartz mixed together in a banded pattern. Metaphysically-Banded Amethyst is said to combine the strengthening and enhancing qualities of Quartz with the stress relieving qualities of Amethyst.
