This is an exceptional Rose Quartz sphere from Madagascar. It measures 6 1/8″ in diameter, weighs nearly 11 1/2 pounds and has a nice polish. It has a very pretty Pink color, great clarity, fantastic inclusions, “rainbow” reflections and dazzling design. A sphere like this does not come around that often, grab it quick!

Rose Quartz is a member of the Quartz family that exhibits a pale Pink to Rose Red hue. The color is usually due to the trace amounts of Titanium, Iron or Manganese in the mass material. Some Rose Quartz contains microscopic Rutile needles which produce an asterism in transmitted light. An all time favorite at the Rock Shop.
