Here’s a new item, a lovely “Star” Rose Quartz egg. It measures 2 7/8″ x 2″ and has a nice appearance with a pretty pink color, lots of neat inclusion, great clarity, “rainbow” reflections and a 3-D “Star” (when rotate in bright light as shown in last photo). A great addition to any collection!

Rose Quartz is a member of the Quartz family that exhibits a pale Pink to Rose Red hue. The color is usually due to the trace amounts of Titanium, Iron or Manganese in the mass material. Some Rose Quartz contains microscopic Rutile needles which produce an asterism in transmitted light. An all time favorite at the Rock Shop.
