Here is something different from the gift department at the Rock Shed. This is a very attractive Heart made from Flower Agate from Madagascar. It has excellent color. good polish, wonderful Agate banding and loaded with blossoms all in a fabulous design. The lovely heart measures 3 3/4″ wide x 3 3/8″ tall x 1 5/8″ thick. Something different for that special person or to add to the collection.

Agates mostly occur as nodules in volcanic rocks or waters containing silica in solution possibly derived from the decomposition of silicates in the lava. The siliceous matter is deposited in regular layers resulting in the banded or striped formation.
