This is a pretty gemstone Heart carved from Carnelian Agate. The lovely heart measures 3 3/8″ wide x 2 5/8″ tall x 1 5/8″ thick and has a nice polish. It has lots of healed fractures, common for this material. It has fabulous color, neat banding, lots of small cavities and mesmerizing design. Something different for that special person or to add to the collection.

Carnelian is a red or reddish-brown variant of Chalcedony but also may come in the colors of orange and pink. It is quite common and usually found in translucent pebble form. It is found in several areas of Europe, Iceland and Madagascar.
