M213: Quartz

Locality: Morocco.  

Selection: Rough specimen.

Appearance: Spectacular high-quality specimen with pristine dark amber colored crystals. The color of these crystals is caused by organic material, believed to be Bitumen, and is not due to iron, aluminum or radioactivity, as is the case with natural Citrine and Smoky Quartz .
