This is something really different for the mineral collector!! Here is an above average quality Lapis specimen from Afghanistan. This gorgeous beauty measures 4 3/4″ x 2 1/4″ x 1″ and has a nice polish on all sides. The very desirable mineral has a pretty Royal Blue color with lots of sparkly Pyrite and lighter highlights. Although thin it still is free standing. Just amazing.

The main component is Lazurite which is a Feldspar Silicate. Lapis may also contain Calcite, Sodalite and Pyrite. It is found worldwide.
