Here a great new item, a gorgeous piece of an Amethyst Geode displayed nicely on a metal stand. It has lovely purple Amethyst crystals with polished stalactites and a polished outer area highlighting the pretty banding while leaving the remainder in its natural state. It measures 2 1/2″ x 2 3/8″ x 5 3/4″ tall (including stand). It would make a nice addition to any home decor or polished rock collection.

Amethyst is a purple variety of Quartz often used as an ornament. It occurs in color from a light, slightly pinkish violet to a deep grape purple. Upon exposure to heat, Amethyst generally becomes yellow, which some refer to as Citrine or “burnt” Amethyst. It is widely distributed as a mineral, but fine, clear specimens that are suitable for cutting as ornamental stones.
