Here’s something we haven’t seen before, a gorgeous Flower Agate Flame from Madagascar. It measures 3″ x 2 3/4″ x 4 5/8″ tall. It has all the features of an Agate in the pastel grey background with neat banding and orange highlights with the added surprise of “flowers” bursting throughout. This is truly a treasure so grab it quick!

Agates mostly occur as nodules in volcanic rocks or waters containing silica in solution possibly derived from the decomposition of silicates in the lava. The siliceous matter is deposited in regular layers resulting in the banded or striped formation.
