Description
Prehnite is a semitransparent to translucent mineral with a chemical formula of calcium and aluminum. It normally ranges in color from yellow-green to apple green. Prehnite is a very hard mineral ranging from 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale It is in the orthorombic crystal class usually found in radiating botryoidal (grape like) forms. It frequently occurs with epidote and quartz minerals.
