This is a very pretty set of Hot Pink colored (color enhanced) Brazilian Agate Geode bookends. They measure 5 3/4″ wide x 5″ tall x 2 3/4″ with a nicely polished face and inner surface. There is a lovely Agate center with awesome designs through out, neat banding and crystal in a very different and unique pattern. Although not a perfect fit they can be turned around to create a whole new look. Just plain nice!

Agates mostly occur as nodules in volcanic rocks or waters containing silica in solution possibly derived from the decomposition of silicates in the lava. The siliceous matter is deposited in regular layers resulting in the banded or striped formation.
